Robin Zimmerman has 30+ years of experience serving the East Valley community as a veterinarian.
A little about myself: When I was 10 years old I moved to Apache Junction, Arizona and attended Four Peaks Elementary School. Followed by Apache Junction Jr. High and then graduated as Valedictorian from Apache Junction High School Class of 1984. While I started college at the University of Arizona, I participated in a study abroad program attending the University of London in London, England, 1985. After which, I graduated from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, 1988. I came back to Arizona and worked as a research assistant in the Veterinary Science Department at the University of Arizona. From there I decided to follow my childhood dream of becoming "an animal doctor" and received my DVM from The Ohio State University. I have been servicing the East Valley community since graduating in 1993
In the spirit of achieving my childhood dream, Caring Critters Animal Hospital opened in 2001. My ultimate goal for Caring Critters is to become a free-standing, multi-doctor practice with extended hours to help the community by providing preventive, surgical and emergency care. My future personal goal is to become Board Certified in Internal Medicine with a potential focus in public health, as I enjoy the emotional gratification of helping ill animals recover.
One of my passions is to incorporate new information from the continued education courses that I attend. This allows me to "Raise the Bar" of veterinary care for our local companion animals to national standards. Since I also have the heart of a teacher, Caring Critters Animal Hospital partners with various technician programs, including local high school EVIT (East Valley Institute of Technology) and DVM educational institutions by offering internship positions.
Despite my busy career, I always prioritize my husband and our two children, while taking time to cuddle with our two Pitbulls as well as loving on our two cats.
